In 2002 we were confronted with our greatest challenge to date, when our factory in Penrith was engulfed in flames, with most of our machinery and material destroyed.

Instead of closing our doors, we salvaged what was left of our factory and carried on producing waffle pods. In the most defining moment in our company’s history, our resilience was spurred on by our commitment to the customers who had remained loyal to the Nicsons Building Products brand.

We focused on modernising our machinery and the industry quickly recognised an unyielding determination to exceed the expectations of our customers.

Our business continued to rise from the ashes and we moved to our current site at St Marys. We began manufacturing plastic building materials and reprocessing expanded polystyrene scrap and waste, all to further serve the needs of a growing industry.

We are proud to be in a unique position where we now support local industry, environment and community with our sustainable building solutions.
